Budle bay, Northumberland

Budle bay and Waren Mill lie immediately to the north of Bamburgh Castle. Literally just round the headland at Harkess rocks and Budle point and you come to Budle bay.

The bay is tidal and the sands are more waterlogged than you would see on most beaches. This is great territory for sea birds and waders and you will usually see birdwatchers parked in the laybys with the binoculors.

The bay is an English Nature Reserve
