Druridge bay

 Just a little to the north of Newbiggin lies Druridge bay. It is really the first of the proper large sandy beaches as you head north and away from the busy Tyne. Not always easy to find the best approach it is nevertheless well worth the effort. Also well known as a good bird watching beach.
