Great Hetha.

At the northern end of the College Valley this is a relatively small hill and easy to climb. It will reward you with fantastic views

1. Northwards looking down onto Hethpool, the lake and in the distance Yeavering bell and the Millfield plain.

2. Eastwards towards the Newton Tors and in particular Harelaw.

3. Westwards towards Ring Chesters and Elsdonburn.

4. South towards the Schil and Trowupburn.

Great Hetha from the Harrow bog wood. The green plantation is just past the car park at Hethpool. To get to the summit follow the edge of the woods and then turn left as you walk onto the shoulder of Hetha.
