This picture looking down the centre of Rothbury was taken on a cold December morning when the temptation to pop
into one of the cafes and indulge in a coffee and cake was irresistable.
And here is a nice view across the River Coquet.
And this is a more unusual picture for those of us used to seeing the town during the hotter summer

Other points of interest
To the south and west of Rothbury is the wildlife reserve at Fontburn. To quote from NWT
"Fontburn is a very popular trout fishery with rainbow and blue trout. The main areas of conservation interest
are around the reservoir margins. An area of wetland and scrub to the north is now being grazed by Exmoor ponies to
maintain the diversity of interest."
