Warkworth Castle

Well worth a visit and lots of good photographic opportunities. It is unclear as to when a castle was first constructed here but some think Prince Henry of Scotland was the first builder in the 11th century.

Owned by the Percy family it is believed that they preferred Warkworth to the more prestigious Alnwick castle.
